Craft Business Ideas for 2026: Trends, Colours & What to Sell Next
I’m back with another edition of my craft business ideas for the year ahead, and honestly, these are some of my favourite pieces of content to create every single year. There’s something really exciting about stepping back, looking at what’s coming, and imagining how it could translate into real, sellable products.
For this 2026 roundup, I’ve mainly used Pinterest Predicts, alongside wedding and fashion trend reports, to pull together ideas that feel both inspiring and practical. I’ve also looked at how these trends could work as print-on-demand products, so you can test new ideas without investing in stock upfront.
On top of that, I’ve cross-referenced everything with Printify’s list of top-selling Etsy niches, because while trends are exciting, it’s just as important to ground them in what people are already buying.
I’ll be linking the reports I used so you can explore them yourself too.

Why 2026 Is a Big Year for Creators
If you’re into numerology, you might already know that 2026 is a 1 year, symbolising new beginnings, fresh starts and new opportunities.
So if you’ve been:
putting off starting a craft business
feeling stuck creatively
or sensing that your current brand needs a refresh
2026 is a really powerful year to lean into that energy.
That said, a gentle reminder: trends are predictions, not promises. Nothing is guaranteed to take off. But stepping back, looking ahead, and experimenting thoughtfully is often how craft businesses grow and hopefully these ideas spark something for you.
Pantone Colour of the Year 2026: Cloud Dancer
I always start with the Pantone Colour of the Year, and for 2026 it’s Cloud Dancer.
Cloud Dancer Pantone Colour of the Year
Chosen by Pantone, Cloud Dancer is a soft, warm off-white — calm, minimal and beautifully neutral. On its own it’s very subtle, but paired with stronger colours it works perfectly for pared-back, modern aesthetics.
Pantone has shared several complementary palettes, and Cloud Dancer works especially well:
as a background colour
layered with blues, purples or earthy tones
on darker products for contrast
If you work with vinyl or HTV, there aren’t many exact matches. The closest options I found were:
None are perfect though, which is why this colour really shines in digital designs.
Colour codes:
Hex:
#f0eee9RGB:
240, 238, 233
Using print on demand makes this especially easy - you can paste the colour code directly into your designs or backgrounds across a wide range of products.
And if Cloud Dancer isn’t your thing? Don’t worry because blue is also a major colour for 2026, and we’ll come back to that shortly.
Craft & Product Trends for 2026
Now let’s get into the trend predictions and how you can actually turn them into things people want to buy.
Poet Aesthetic
If you love a good quote, this one’s for you.
Think:
poetry
romantic wording
short, heartfelt sentences
This trend works beautifully for:
wall prints
journals and notebooks
t-shirts and sweatshirts

Quote-based products already sell extremely well on Etsy, especially when they overlap with mental health, mindfulness and slow living niches.
Just be mindful of copyright - ideally write your own poems, or use AI tools if you’re not a natural poet.
Design-wise, keep things simple:
serif or typewriter-style fonts
minimal layouts
plenty of white (or Cloud Dancer) space
Brooched: Statement Accessories
This trend is all about maximalist accessories:
bold brooches
chunky earrings
layered necklaces
Jewellery and accessories remain consistent top sellers on Etsy, especially when they feel vintage-inspired or unique.
Even if you don’t make jewellery, you can still tap into this trend with:
tote bags
t-shirts
art prints
hats
Search terms around “brooch aesthetics” are already popular, and there’s lots of usable imagery available through design resources if illustration isn’t your thing.

Fun Haus: Circuscore
This trend is playful, colourful and whimsical, especially perfect for:
kids’ products
nursery decor
playful homeware
Think:
circus art
bold colours
nostalgic shapes
You could create:
nursery wall art
decals
kids’ clothing
cushion covers
One idea I love is customised felt storage boxes or wall clocks, personalised with children’s names - they’d really stand out in a crowded market.
Pen Pals: The Stationery Era
This is one of my favourite trends for 2026!
Nostalgic and comforting; letter writing, pen pals, stamps and handwritten details are all making a comeback.
If you already sell:
stickers
postcards
greeting cards
notebooks
…this trend fits perfectly.
Stationery is still a strong seller, especially for:
small businesses
niche hobbies
fandom communities
You can make these by hand, with a cutting machine, or through print on demand - most formats are easy to test without huge upfront costs.

Cool Blue: Icy Aesthetic
I promised blue was coming and here it is.
Cool blue is a major Pinterest trend and is also showing up strongly in fashion and wedding predictions.
This colour palette works beautifully for:
wedding stationery
event decor
phone cases and accessories
Wedding and event products, especially personalised ones, are consistently strong sellers on Etsy. Just aim for designs that feel:
bold
memorable
or sustainably made
From a practical standpoint, blue vinyl and HTV are also much easier to source, making this trend accessible for most makers.

Wedding Trends for 2026
If you’re a wedding or events brand, personalisation is still absolutely key.
Predicted favourites from Hitched include:
wedding newspapers
illustrated stationery
statement table styling
After-party details are also growing, think:
disco balls
retro party vibes
fun, unexpected accessories
There’s also a strong retro revival, so 80s, 90s and noughties-inspired designs could work really well here.
Afrohemian Decor
This is such a beautiful trend, especially if it connects to your heritage or design style. It lends itself perfectly to:
cushions
wall art
textiles
apparel
accessories
If sourcing materials is tricky, print on demand is a great option here, patterns translate incredibly well.
Printed scarves are also predicted to be big again this spring, which could be an exciting product to explore.

Extra Celestial: Aliencore
If you love holographic vinyl or shiny materials, this trend is calling your name.
It works brilliantly for:
stickers and decals
phone cases
t-shirts
car accessories
You can go all-in with alien imagery, or keep things subtle with opalescent finishes and futuristic textures.
This trend also crosses over nicely with:
astrology
spirituality
crystal and tarot-inspired products

Wilderkind: Animal & Nature
Nature isn’t going anywhere but for 2026 it’s softer and more ethereal.
Think:
bug jewellery
delicate animal motifs
subtle, detailed illustrations
This trend works beautifully for:
jewellery
apparel
kids wear
nursery decor
even pet products
Keep designs gentle and refined rather than bold or graphic.
Marketing & Inspiration for 2026
Beyond products, it’s also worth paying attention to how consumers want brands to show up.
Adobe’s recent insights highlight that people are drawn to:
thoughtful design
authenticity
clear values
Meanwhile, Printify’s blog regularly shares niche insights, trend updates and selling strategies, especially useful if you’re exploring print on demand.
And finally, stay observant. Trends will pop up throughout the year and if something aligns with your brand, don’t be afraid to experiment!
Final Thoughts
That’s my craft business trend roundup for 2026!
Remember you don’t need to follow every trend. Choose the ones that align with:
your brand
your skills
what your audience already loves
